Ethel Florence WOOD

GARTSHORE, Ethel Florence (nee Wood). Born in Ashford, England on August 26, 1910. Wife of the late Neil Vernal Gartshore. Mother of Lois (Dale McIlvride), Annis (Richard Johannsen), Florence (John McGrail), Garth Fuller (Carol) and Alex Fuller. Grandmother of Kathie (Brian Kimball), Lynne (Grant Evans), Andrew (Mary Beth Fergusson), Susan (Dick Chesnick), Julie, Karen (Doug King), Scott (Katie Low), Neil, Elliott and Michelle. Great-grandmother of Vanessa and Charles Kimball, Kira and Jordan King. Sister-in-law to the late Mary and Stan Chicoine, the late Margaret and Ernie Russell, Anne (the late George Gartshore), Albert Brewer (the late Marjorie Gartshore), Phyllis and Jimmy McCorkell, Flora (the late John Labelle) and Maureen and Leslie Gartshore. "Aunt Flora" will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 25 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux (514-685-3344). The service will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. following visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Quebec Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
