MUSSARI, Mrs. Maria (Genovese) - At the Welland County General Hospital on January 13, 2004, Mrs. Maria (Genovese) Mussari of Welland in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Luigi Mussari (1996). Cherished mother of Tommaso and his wife Tina of Niagara Falls, Saverio and his wife Veneranda of Fenwick, Antonio of Port Colborne, Joseph and his wife Mary of Welland, Angela Paonessa and her late husband Salvatore of Niagara Falls, Maria and her husband Ralph Benincasa of Port Colborne, Diamante Paonessa and her late husband Domenico, Grace and her husband Luigi Paonessa both of Welland. Dear sister of Francesco Genovese of Italy. She will be fondly remembered by her 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Saverio and Catherina (Critelli) Genovese and one brother Michele Genovese. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Welland Funeral Home, 827 East Main St., Welland Thursday, January 15th, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16th, 2004 at 11 a.m. in St. Andrew the Apostle Church with Father Mitchell Kasza officiating. Entombment will follow in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. A Vigil for Mrs. Mussari will be celebrated at the funeral home on Thursday at 3 p.m.
