HARPER, Donald Peter Forbes. After a brief battle with cancer on January 28, 2007 at age seventy-seven, Donald Peter Forbes Harper died peacefully. Beloved husband of Margery (nee Gillard) and dear father of Donna (Denis) and Gail (Robert). Grampy to Matthew, Alexander, Natalie and Ian. Don will be missed by his brothers Andy and Ken, and predeceased by his brother Gordon "Jock". A 43 year employee of Nortel in Montreal. He will be missed by his many friends. A devoted member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Thank you to the staff of Ottawa General Hospital and the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre for making his last days so comfortable. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31 at Pinecrest Visitation Centre from 3 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Pinecrest Chapel at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre in Ottawa.
