Our family extends a sincere thank you to the doctors and nurses of the cardiac care unit of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital for the many years of care and in particular during the recent months when our father was in declining heath. We also want to acknowledge the doctors and nurses of the cardiac units of the Montreal General and Halifax hospitals. We extend a heart felt thank you to Reverend Gil MacKenzie for his friendship and support to our family over many years and in particular the past months. Also, our thanks to the many family members, neighbours and friends that have extended their kindness and caring to our parents during the many years of our fathers declining health. For man's time is like a flower of the season, opening in the morning and closing in the evening, and man's thoughts are at the fullness of life, as stones laid one upon the other and the wall reflects the thoughts of man as In his world, and conceals the world from which he came, but can not remember, and to which he must return, and man's thoughts in his declining years are as in his youth, and the stones fall away, revealing the beauty of the world to which he must return For man's time is like a flower of the season. Opening in the morning and closing in the evening. At our fathers request his remains have been cremated and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place at the Mersereau family plot at the Rusagonis Rural Cemetery at a later date with the Reverend Gil MacKenzie officiating. In lieu of flowers may we suggest donations to a local food bank, homeless shelter or Salvation Army, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
