BERTRAND, Simone (nee Labrosse) Passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5 2007, Simone Bertrand, daughter of the late Delphis Labrosse and the late Heloise Chenier at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Bruno Bertrand. Loving mother of Huguette (Joseph Walcot) (and the late Henri Deschamps), Jacqueline (Denis Page), Marthe (Jean-Guy Page). Dearly loved grandmother of Andre, Sylvie, Francois, Julie Deschamps; Christiane, Marie-Claude, Francois Page; Nicole, Danielle, Marc, Michel Page. Cherished great-grandmother of 24 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Survived by 1 cherished sister-in-law Jean (late Rene Labrosse) and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Friday, February 9 2007, from 7 - 10 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at Notre-Dame de Lourdes (Vanier), 435 Montreal Road, Ottawa on Saturday, February 10 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Notre-Dame Cemetery. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Marie-Claire Bujold and the dedicated staff of Centre d'Accueil Champlain; special thanks to the staff of the fifth floor for the compassionate care given to our beloved Mother.
