SMITH, Terrence Nelson Edward (Terry) Royal Canadian Mint - Ret'd Smith Engraving Peacefully, surrounded by family and friends at West End Villa on Saturday, February 17, 2007, age 68 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Doreen of Kanata. Loving father of Jody McCombe (Kevin) and cherished Grampa of Chelsey. Son of the late Minnie and James Smith. Son-in-law of Gladys (the late Orville) Macartney and brother-in-law of Dee Macartney (the late Don). Uncle of Laura (Chris) and Trevor Macartney and great-uncle to Alyssa and Austin. Fondly remembered by Jeannine and Jean Cadieux and many close friends and family. Special thanks to the nurses, caregivers, staff and resident friends at the West End Villa for their compassionate care. Thanks as well to all of Terry's friends who journeyed with him during his last weeks. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road, on Tuesday, February 20th, 2007 after 11 a.m. until time of service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Donations in memory of Terry to the Parkinson Society, Ottawa would be appreciated by the family.
