HARDER, Irene Dorothy (nee Anweiler) On November 10, 2006 Irene Dorothy Harder of Calgary, Alberta passed away at home at the age of 70 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Wally and her two children, Steve (Barb) and Cathy; four grandchildren, Theresa (Shane), Derrick, Trevor and Mitchell; three sisters, Helen of Abbottsford, B.C., Pauline of Saskatoon, SK, and Annie of Grand Forks, B.C. Irene was predeceased by her parents Olga and Phillip Anweiler and by an infant son James; four sisters, Edna, Olga, Tina, Audrey; two brothers, Edward and Herman. Irene was born at Haultain, Saskatchewan November 14, 1935 and grew up in Saskatoon. She married Wally in Saskatoon on May 7, 1954. Irene started work at Woolco in 1973 and transferred to Calgary in 1992 where she retired in 2000. Irene was a very caring, thoughtful, understanding and loving woman. Her family always came first. She was very strong willed and never gave up on her aspirations. She always considered others before herself and will be greatly missed by numerous family and friends. "You're beautiful mom - we all love you." A Celebration of Irene's Life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made directly to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 - 29 Street N.W. Calgary, Alberta T2N 4N2.
