Robert George MONILAWS

MONILAWS, Robert George Robert Monilaws passed away peacefully at the Agape Hospice on Sunday, November 19, 2006 at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter Mary Barker (Gordon); Steven and Anthony Roemer, Sharon, Amanda Murphy (Darrin), Mary Brenton (Dick), Annabel Dyck (Vern), Isabel Gilbert (Robert), Maxwell Monilaws (Kay), also numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a daughter Susan Roemer and grandson Douglas Barker; and brothers, Murray, Roland and John. Robert served in the Armed Forces in England and Europe with the Royal Canadian Engineers 1942 to 1945. He was a member of the Calgary Police Service from 1949 to 1977 as well as a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 284 Chaplehow. A life member of the Calgary Philatelic Society and others, he enjoyed his hobby and company of friends. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Thursday, November 23, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
