MONILAWS, Robert George Robert Monilaws passed away peacefully at the Agape Hospice on Sunday, November 19, 2006 at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter Mary Barker (Gordon); Steven and Anthony Roemer, Sharon, Amanda Murphy (Darrin), Mary Brenton (Dick), Annabel Dyck (Vern), Isabel Gilbert (Robert), Maxwell Monilaws (Kay), also numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a daughter Susan Roemer and grandson Douglas Barker; and brothers, Murray, Roland and John. Robert served in the Armed Forces in England and Europe with the Royal Canadian Engineers 1942 to 1945. He was a member of the Calgary Police Service from 1949 to 1977 as well as a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 284 Chaplehow. A life member of the Calgary Philatelic Society and others, he enjoyed his hobby and company of friends. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Thursday, November 23, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Salvation Army Agape Manor Hospice, 1302 - 8 Avenue N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1B8 or the charity of your choice.
