Fraser Alexander FARLINGER

Dr. Fraser Alexander Farlinger died in North Bay, Sunday, June 26, 2005, in his 83rd year. Dr. Farlinger graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University in 1948. He practiced medicine in New Liskeard for 28 years before moving to North Bay in 1975 to work at the North Bay General Hospital as an anesthetist. He retired in 1988. He is survived by his wife and best friend Alice Brillon (Bond), children Arlene Primrose (Brian), Barbara Snedden (Ken), Gordon Farlinger, and their mother Lois, step children Ward Bond (Carol) of Collingwood, Kathryn Roberts (James) of Cookstown and Jonathan Bond (Tamara) of Kenora, grandchildren Ryan, Kimberley, Sarah, Alex, Stephanie, Charlie, Nathan, and Avery, and dear sisters Mary Rowe and Jane Reeves (Bob), and sister-in-law Diane Farlinger. He was predeceased by his parents Dr. A.C. Farlinger and Sara J. McCorquodale and his brother Don. Friends are invited to call at the Martyn Funeral Home in North Bay, Wednesday, June 29, from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Calvin Presbyterian Church, North Bay, on Thursday, June 30 at 2 p.m. Cremation will occur, with the interment of ashes in New Liskeard. Donations to the North Bay General Hospital Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
