RACICOT, Kathleen (née Earley) - March 24, 1942 - June 4, 2007. Beloved wife of Daniel Racicot. Loving mother of Carol (BJ Szabicot) and Jennifer (Jacob Huss). Cherished grandmother of Anya, Dhara, and Elora Szabicot and Hayden and Sage Huss. Kathleen graduated from Huntington University in 1963, taught high school in Sudbury for two years, and then moved to Toronto in 1965, where she married Dan Racicot, also of Sudbury. She taught at the Toronto French School until the children arrived, and then combined her creative motherhood with crafts and music. In Toronto, she was a member of an award- winning barbershop singing group, the Accolades. In later years, she taught school again until her husband retired from the North York Board in 1997. It was not a difficult decision for them to return to the land of 'blue lake and rocky shore.' Kathleen is survived by her sisters, Sandy Dazé, Elizabeth Earley, and Penny Earley, all of Sudbury, and brother Bill Earley, of Winnipeg; sisters-in-law Joan Racicot of Atlanta, Sue Banting of Stoney Creek, Debbie Auger (husband Ray) of Sudbury, and Alven Racicot of Sydney, Austrailia. A Memorial Service will be held in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury Monday, June 11th, 2007 at 1 p.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
