Nicholas NOVAK

NOVAK - The Reverend Nicholas, on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the Bethlen Home in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, at age 81. Minister of the Hungarian Presbyterian Church in Welland for 21 years, (1949- 1970). He was a gifted preacher and charismatic leader, loved and respected by his congregation. It was during his ministry that the church and manse were built. Predeceased by his brother, Leslie Novak, he leaves behind his children: Leslie, Nicholas Daniel Novak (Siobhan), Kathleen Barbara Dussome (Rick), five grandchildren Alicia, Amy, Cameron and Matthew Novak and Thomas Dussome, as well as his first wife, Magda (Madeline) Novak, many relatives, friends and members of the congregations he served both in Canada and the U.S. The Welland congregation, at the age 22, was his first charge, and remained dearest to his heart. A Memorial Service will be held for him on Saturday, June 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hungarian Presbyterian Church.
