HOLT, Aileen M. Peacefully, on May 24, 2007, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, in her 86th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years William and her precious daughter Nancy. Loving mother of Adrienne Tees of St. Catharines and Philip Holt of Virginia. Sadly missed by sons-in-law Peter McQuillan of Dundas and David Tees; Leslie Meaux of Virginia; and by grandchildren Emily and David of Virginia; and Matthew, Aylish, and Taryn of Dundas. A registered nurse for over 30 years, Aileen touched countless lives, caring for all with diligence and enthusiasm. Born Aileen Quigley in Lakefield, Ont., she blended a loving sense of Irish humor with equal measures of persistence and tenacity. No challenge ever seemed to intimidate her. Aileen was an avid reader and traveler as well as a loyal friend. She played bridge with the same circle of friends for almost 50 years, and only days before her passing she talked of travel plans for the future. The family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon at 3:30.
