HOLDGATE CURRAN, Laura Elizabeth. October 6, 1906 - June 3, 2007. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Laura on Monday, June 3, 2007 at the age of one hundred. Beloved wife of the late Dale James. Dearly loved mother of Carrol Linda (Glen) and Joan (Lawrence) and their families; Tod and Carrie, Marlize and Kate, Jeff and Rachel and soon to be twins. Survived by her sister Violet, her nephew Horace and her niece Shirley and their families, and her nieces Patricia and Amy. Predeceased by her brothers Stuart and Herbie, her nephews Harold and Douglas and by her nieces, Betty and June. Also predeceased recently by her beloved cat Magoo. She will also be missed by her many great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at the Centre Vigi D.D.O. for their wonderful care, support and friendship for the past ten years. The family will receive friends at the Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux, (514) 685-3344 on Friday, June 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Funeral to be held on Saturday June 9, 2007 at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 12301 Colin, Pierrefonds at 2 p.m. Burial to follow at Rideau Memorial Gardens and reception to be held in Laura's memory at the reception hall of the Funeral Home.
