MAXWELL, Leo Peacefully on Friday, June 22nd, 2007, in his 95th year. Beloved husband, by first marriage, of the late Edna Scissons (54 years) and by second marriage, of the late Mattie Bancken (5 years). Father of Gerald (Pat) of Cobourg, Gary (Ruth) of Kanata, Ann Ward (Brian) of Kanata, Jane St Denis (Jacques) of Kanata, Ken (Marcia) of Oakville, Paul (Colleen) and James of Kanata, Steven (Karen) of Renfrew and Teresa Larivee (Gilles) of Dunrobin. Much-loved grandfather of 16 grandchildren: Catharine (Michael), Peter (Shari), Michael, Robyn (Jason), Tim (Leslie), Jon, Kevin (Mylene), Kelly (Andrew), Katie, Megan (Eric), Amy (Billy), Scott, Kimberly, Kelda, Kinsey and Samara; 13 great-grandchildren: Andrew, Ryan, Maia, Ella, Callum, Graham, Akina, Naomi, Isaac, Ava, Dustin, Evelyn, Abby. Also survived by sisters Catherine (late Harold Moran), Gertrude and brother Wilfred (Lyla) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers John (late Margaret), Thomas (late Susan) and sister Mary (late Thomas McHugh). Son of the late Thomas and Catherine Maxwell. Will be missed by many neighbors and friends in his church and community. WW2 veteran and member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 638, Kanata. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 580 Eagleson Road. Visitation between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, June 26th. Mass of Christian Funeral at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 27th 2007 at St Isidore Church, 1135 March Road, Kanata, interment Parish Cemetery.
