Mrs. Margaret Niemeyer (née Petrie) May 31, 1911 - September 04, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Duncan) Niemeyer, Margaret born May 31, 1911, passed away peacefully September 4, 2004 at Cairnsmore Place, her home for the past 71/2 years. Predeceased by her 2nd husband Pete Niemeyer, 2 brothers and a sister. Margaret leaves to mourn, Son, Eoin Sutherland (Jackie), daughters Betty James, Elsie Antilla (Guy), Ruby Niemeyer(Jeri), grandchildren Brian, Barbara, Susan (Mike), Bonnie, Donald (Linda), and 7 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, a sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews in Saskatchewan. For years, Margaret ran a greenhouse business at Westholme; hanging baskets and fusias were her specialties. Mom loved to dance, travel, cook, crochet, and play cards. She won several trophies for cribbage. She dearly loved all her family and especially her grandchildren nieces and nephews. We wish to acknowledge and thank the kind and efficient staff at Cairnsmore Place especially East Wing; who have taken such good care of mom for us. A celebration of life will be held at the Moose Home 2244 Moose Road Duncan, BC, Wednesday, September 8th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
