HILLMAN, William - At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Thursday August 16, 2007, William “Bill“ Alexander Hillman, age 83, of Chatham, beloved husband of Kathleen “Kit“ Hillman. Born in Chatham in 1923, son of the late Mary Louise Bâby and John Hillman, Bill owned and operated Hillman's Men's Wear for many years on Queen Street, was a member of the Sertoma Club 1953-1973 and a member of St. Joseph's Church. Loving father of Andrea Hillman of Brampton, Karen Groeneweg and her husband John of St. Thomas and David Hillman of Victoria B.C. Also sadly missed by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Helyn Charlton of Kingston and Romayne Roberts of Chatham. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday August 19, 2007 where Parish Prayers will be offered 3:00 pm on Sunday. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday August 20, 2007 at 11:00 am in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in Old St. Anthony's Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers to St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
