Norman W. Coates March 28, 1919 - September 15, 2004 COATES, Norman Peacefully with his family by his side at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus on Sept. 15, 2004. Beloved husband of 63 wonderful years to Velma. Loving father of Sharon and Gerald Huggard. Cherished grandfather of Karen (Dave), Christine, Patrick (Cassandra) Tim (Terry), Dana (Rick), Ron, Jaymie (Gord). Dear great-grandfather of Amanda, Grieg, David, Sarah, Kyle, T.J., Brandon, Kevin, Madison, Maegan and Ryan. Will be missed by his nieces and nephews. Norm was a mechanic by trade, who operated Coates-Dunsieth Service Station on Howard, and was a founding member of the White Rose Hunt Club. Norm will always be remembered for being an avid hunter and fisherman. Visiting at Janisse Bros—Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette (253-5225) on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with the funeral service at Janisse Bros—Marcotte Funeral Home on Sat. at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. As your expression of sympathy, a donation to the V.O.N. or the Windsor Cancer Clinic would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Norm Coates in the Janisse Bros—Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held in September 2005. All are welcome.
