OBITUARY MAGDALENA OBER (nee LOPEZ) 1926-2007 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mom, lola, great-lola, sister, aunt and friend, Magdalena Lopez Ober on August 2, 2007 at the age of eighty-one years. Left to cherish her memory, husband, Marcelo Ober; daughter, Minda (Angel); special grandchildren, Richard and Elizabeth, Rachel and Peter, Omar and Nine, Osmond and Olive; 2 great-grandsons, Noah and Trevor; special niece, Nenita Ober; numerous family and friends in North America and the Philippines. Magdalena was predeceased by her daughter, Lorna and granddaughter, Ruby. Lola was raised in the Philippines and came to Canada in 1980. She loved to cook for her friends and family since she had a restaurant back home. She also loved to dance and was known as the dancer who danced in the halls at the hospital. Family will receive condolences at Centre funeraire Cote des Neiges, 4525 Cote des Neiges Rd, 514-342-8000 (indoor parking) On Saturday, August 4 from 2 to 5, 7 to 9, Sunday August 5 from 2 to 5, 7 to 9. A service will be held at the St-Kevin Church, 5600 Cote des Neiges Rd at 10 a.m. and thence to the Rideau Memorial Gardens, 4239 des Sources, D.D.O. Special thank you to Dr. Chang, Dr. Hirsch, Dr. E. Mitmaker and the special nurses at 8NW, 4Main and 7W at the Jewish General Hospital.
