DENTON, Douglas - Peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, on Friday, August 31, 2007. Devoted and loving husband to Edith (Edie), nee Durand, for 62 years; loving father of John (2002) and Josie, Rick and Edna, Paul (Toronto) and Deena and Ed Wojtowicz (Port Dover). Doug was a loving Pop to grandchildren David Denton, Michael Denton, Erin Denton and Larry Smith, Kerry and Kirk Boone, Lisa and Bill Gleason, Joey Kish, Deanna Kish and Graham Wolfe, and Debbie and Steve Gyorki. Doug cherished his great grandchildren: Beth and Taylor, Jordan, Olivia, and Karsen, Lexi, Cam and Jenna, Mia and Jaxon, John and Laura, Kaitlynn and Hayden. Doug enjoyed his memberships in the following organizations: Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 158 (Life Member, MSM, Palm Leaf, Past Zone Commander B1, Past District Executive Member), Air Force Club of Brantford (Past President, Life Member), Brant Masonic Lodge #45. Doug was a member of the RCAF and was a Veteran of WWII. He was retired from Westinghouse. Friends will be received at the THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover on Monday, September 3, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
