BURT/SHAVER, Sandra C. - After a courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family members at the Kingston General Hospital, Monday, July 16, 2007. In her 64th year, beloved wife of 25 years and best friend to Harry (Harold). She will be sadly missed by her children; Brent Shaver (Karen), Alan Burt, Dawn Allan (Greg), Lori Graham (Mark) and Stephen Burt (Tara). Cherished Grandmother of: Joseph, Emma, Cailyn, Mia and Jack. Sandra was predeceased by her father Douglas Shaver and is survived by: her mother Olive Shaver/Genge, her brothers: Jack, Bruce (Sharon), Darcy (Cindy) and brother-in-law Lorne (Aieleen). She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews: Tracey, Corrie, Amanda, Jason, Tina, Veronica, Sarah, Gordie, Jamie-Lynn and her grand nieces and nephew, Taylor, Olivia and Jacob. Abiding by Sandra's wishes, she was cremated and there will be a private family celebration of her life. Sandra's family wishes to express their sincerest, heartfelt thank you to all the doctors, nurses, security and other staff involved in her treatment at the KGH in the ER Department, Kidd 6 and the ECU. Your sensitive, comforting care will not be forgotten. A very special thank you to Dr. Yolanda Madarnas at the cancer clinic, Dr. Veronica Mohr, our family physician, and E.C.U. Nurse, Laura Lee Asselstine who is a real saint. Sandra asked her husband Harry to remember to say bye bye to her very special friends, Mia, Nancy, Sharon, Matt, and her beloved little “Poppy“. 10750424
