Dearly loved husband of Joyce Phillip-Shields and by a previous marriage to the late Pearl Matilda Shields. Dear father of Katherine Vaughan and her husband Jeff and stepfather of Carrington Phillip Noosie', Avril Phillip and Jacqueline MacDonald and her husband Ross. Proud grandfather of Amanda, Kristine, Tiffany, Sade, Khadija, Jaida, Farin and Brent and great grandfather of Daniel Vaughan. Dear brother of Frank Shields and John Shields and his wife Marg. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his parents Arthur Shields and Florence Adrian and by brothers Garfield and Lorne. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 560 are requested to assemble at the funeral home on Monday for a Legion Service of Remembrance at 7 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, July 24, 2007 for service in the chapel of the funeral home at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow with a private family interment in Cataraqui Cemetery at a later date.
