Born in Detroit, Mich., she was daughter of the late Walter and Gertrudie (MacLellan) Thompson. Surviving are daughters, Marilyn (Carl) Graham, Dartmouth; Trudy (Yvan) Lessard, Quebec; son, Roger MacKenzie, Dartmouth; sisters, Wilma (Murray) Wood, Parrsboro; Audrey Thompson, Victoria, B.C.; grandchildren, Angela Marchand, Jean-François Lessard, Nicholas Lessard; great-grandchild, Mathew "Noah" Marchand. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Arlington MacKenzie; brother, William in infancy. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday, both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, Pastor Reid Stairs officiating.
