SAUVE, Wm. “Bill“ - In loving memory of Wm. “Bill“ Sauve, 75 years, who passed away Saturday, September 8th, 2007 at the SRH-Laurentian Site. Bill was born in Sudbury and married Jane (Dickson) in 1958 in Timmins. Bill had worked at Bell Canada for 35 years, retiring in 1990. After a lengthy and hard battle against cardiac, renal and diabetic challenges, Bill Sauve passed away in his sleep early on Saturday morning. He will miss telling his jokes at the Tim Hortons, the Lockerby Legion and at Grumblers. Everyone will miss his laugh. He will certainly miss making them laugh. He loved the Spartans and it is his hope that the team will play again. He was an original member of the 1950 Hardrocks, and played for nine years. He was also an avid Tiger- Cat football fan. He could almost always be seen wearing something black and gold. He had a love of history that he shared with his adored granddaughter Lauren. Beloved husband of Jane (Dickson) Sauve of Sudbury. Loving father of David (wife Maureen) of Ancaster. Cherished grandfather of Lauren. Dear son of Arthur and Hilda (Mackey) Sauve predeceased. Dear brother of John (wife Patricia predeceased) of Waterloo and Celina Legris (husband Jack predeceased) of North Bay. The family would like to thank all of the people who helped to ease his pain this year. A special Thank you to Rudy and all of the Doyles, George, Irene and Dawn, Ray, the Clark family, Don and Linda, Scott and Carm, Rick and Marilyn, and all of his many good friends that brought him so much joy. And finally to all the medical personnel on the sixth and eighth floors at Laurentian Hospital. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 49 years. Jake will miss his best buddy.
