James Elwood COOMBS

COOMBS, James Elwood - Entered into rest surrounded by his family, at his home in Lindsay on Thursday, September 20th, 2007, after a short struggle with pancreatic cancer. Jim, at the age of 50, was the beloved husband and soul mate of Susan (nee Garton) for 28 years. Proud and adored dad of Jennifer and Julie. Cherished son of Elwood (Sixty) Coombs and his wife Lila. Predeceased by his mother Betty Coombs (1969). Treasured brother of Gord and the late Tina, Doug and Sharon, Jeff, Betty and Randy Thacker, and Bonnie and Craig Fitzgerald. Dear son-in-law of Gwen and the late Ted Garton. Much loved brother-in-law of Mark and Wanda, Gwen and Rick Walden, Peter, Paul, Joe and Monica, and Barb and Angus MacDougall. Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation at the MACKEY FUNERAL HOME, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Sunday, September 23rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Private funeral service at the Mackey Funeral Home. Private interment at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Central East Community Care Access Centre Lindsay Branch or the Ross Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family. 10835139
