Reverend Phyllis Mary Frances May Hayes July 13, 1915 - March 29, 2000 Reverend Phyllis Mary Frances May passed peacefully to the spirit world, March 29, 2000. Phyllis will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her beloved husband Rev. Percy D. Hayes and children, Judi, Wendy, John (Darlene), step-children, Robert (Ada), Dorothy (Wayne), Darlene (John), 18 grand-children, Holy, Shanna, Warren, Thor, Shaun, Harley, Robyn and Rory, Erin and James, George and Maria, Anthony, Julia, Heather and Mark, Iain and Danna, two great-grandchildren, Forrest, Kalem and many extended family and friends. Phyllis was born on July 15, 1915 in North Vancouver, BC, daughter of Fred and Lulu Kasel and attended school there. In 1935, Phyllis joined the staff of The Province Newspaper in the Advertising Department. She also modeled for Clark Dettoff, the well known photographer, doing much work for the Blackout of the time. Phyllis in 1942 married Alec Gaunt, First Class Officer of the Provincial Police of Victory, BC. They lived in Fernie, BC, before coming back to North Vancouver where their three children were born. Alec and Phyllis Gaunt discovered the automatic writings of James E. Padgett, True gospel revealed Anew by Jesus. Alec Gaunt passed into the spirit world in 1970. Phyllis was ordained as a Reverend in 1970. In 1972, Phyllis married Percy D. Hayes in Burnaby, BC. Percy was ordained as a Reverend in 1972. Phyllis was president of the North Shore Neighbourhood House and was always involved in volunteer work, Phyllis was a Trustee in the Church of the New Birth based in Washington, D.C. Phyllis was a spiritual teacher and leader working and speaking in many churches, organizations, schools and homes in both Edmonton and great Vancouver. Phyllis served Rogers Cablevision as a Psychic. A memorial service will be held at Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 72nd Ave., Surrey, BC on April 7, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. A special thanks to Dr. Cheryl Shokeir and her staff and the staff of Surrey Memorial Hospital for their loving care.
