MICHALAK, Denise Jeanne - 57 years, who passed away Wednesday July 25th, 2007 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Denise will be sadly missed and forever loved by her husband Walter, her mother, Evangeline (Denomme) Proulx, and her father, Harvey Proulx. Adoring mother of Todd Jason (predeceased). Much loved sister of Claudette (Ray) Dupuis, Marcel (Denise) Proulx, Lise (Renald) Lacasse, and Annette (Greg) Jansson. Survived by sister-in-law, Kassie Michalak. Predeceased Kazimir and Teresa Michalak. She will be sorrowfully missed and always remembered by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews and her loving friends. Definition of love is family - Denise, Wally, and Todd, three in one. Together, they shared joy and purpose. Together, they influenced, supported and guided many with their integrity, honesty and belief everyone counts. Denise's Christian belief was the mainstay of her tenacity, courage and commitment to marriage, motherhood, family, friends and work. Denise chose a life of service. For over 30 years she worked as an attendance counselor for the Rainbow District School Board. She performed her je ne sais quoi to ensure young people and their families would see the possibilities of a brighter future. Her passion drew them in to a world of hope. She did this with humour, honesty and gentle toughness. There was no pulling the wool over Denise's eyes and she was not going to give up on any of her charges. Many today remember her mentoring and realize how her genuine caring opened doors. She was recognized for her efforts with Rainbow District School Board Award of Excellence and Ontario Attendance Counsellor Association Award of Merit. If you want a day to be brighter, you shared in laughter with Denise. If you wanted to be wiser, you listened to the lessons she taught. The Denise we love educated us well. Life is what you make it. Life is to serve. Life is to love. Donations to Jarett Resource Centre, Lorne St., in lieu of flowers would be appreciated. Denise truly had a heart of gold and a helping hand for all. God is now richer as our incredible angel is in His company to work her magic from above. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury.
