Muriel Irene Saunders 1924-2007 On September 1st, 2007 Muriel Irene (Hynes) Saunders aged 83, passed away peacefully at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre in Ottawa, with her son David by her side. Born in Change Islands, Newfoundland, Muriel was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rita (Bown) Hynes and was a 39 year resident of Moncton. Beloved wife of the late Isaac (Ike) Belbin Saunders. Dear mother of David (Wendy) Saunders, Carolyn (Bob) Bateman and Brian (Cathi) Saunders. Nana will also be remembered fondly by her grandchildren, Erin, Robbie, Heather, Scott, Adam, Brendan and Dawn; as well as, her great-grand children, Mara, Mateo and Tia. Muriel is also survived by her sister, Clarice (Hynes) Watton; sister in law, Elsie (Saunders) Thornhill and brother in law, Hedley Saunders; as well as, many nephews and nieces. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 6th at 1:00 pm at St. James Anglican Church, 101 Fairview Drive at St. George Blvd. Moncton. A reception for friends and family will follow the service at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
