SMITH, Catherine Marie “Kate“ - Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday October 7th, 2007 in her 82nd year; beloved wife of the late Earl Smith; cherished mother of Mary (the late John) Parsons, Aggie( Wayne) Skanes, Dot ( Gerald) McGrath of Elliott Lake, Earl Jr.( Donna) Smith, Paul Smith, Gary ( Krystina) Smith, Philomena (John) Dyck, and Lorraine (John) Friesen; proud grandmother of many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; survived by one brother Michael Lewis; Kate was predeceased by four children Cec, Frank, Kitty and Johnny. Friends and family will be received at the “THORPE BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL“, 96 West Street, on Tuesday (today) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, October 10th, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
