LEVASSEUR, Terence David (Terry) (Captain of the Canadian Armed Forces). With his family at his side on Thursday, September 2, 2004 in his 63rd year. Terry Levasseur of Orillia much loved husband and best friend of Josie Yvonne Levasseur (nee Jones). Loving father of Tracy and her husband Hugh Partridge of Midhurst, Lori and her husband Richard Quinlan of Petawawa, Sean Levasseur and his fiance Tara Douglas of Barrie, Stephen Levasseur of Orillia and Adam Levasseur of Barrie. Loving grandfather of thirteen grandchildren. Predeceased by one grandchild. Loving son of Fred and Joan Levasseur of Campbell River B.C. Dear brother of Kareen and her husband Lee Baur of Sayward B.C., Frances and her husband Allan Gilders of Prince George B.C., Linda and her husband Roy Watson of Sayward, B.C., Rosemary and her husband Peter Frank of McKenzie B.C., John Levasseur and his wife Billie of Grand Forks, B.C. Terry was born in Sussex, England on September 18, 1941, the son of a Canadian soldier and a British War Bride. He joined the Canadian Army on May 15th, 1958 at the age of 16, as a soldier Apprentice in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. He was trained as a Transport Operator (MSE Op) and Administrative Clerk. Captain Levasseur has 42 years experience in the Regular and Reserve Force as both a Non-Commissioned Member and Officer in two trades and two classifications. He assumed his duties as the Standards Officer for RCIS Central on August 21, 2000. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home - 38 James Street East, Orillia (866-399-6499) on Tuesday, September 7th from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, September 8th at 1:30 p.m. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Children's Wish Foundation of Ontario or the Oncology Clinic of Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie would be appreciated by Terry's family. The Ottawa Citizen
