PIOTROWICZ, Richard. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rick on August 30 after a couragoeus battle with cancer at the age of fifty-nine. Too soon, he leaves to mourn his beloved wife of forty years, Irene Ackermann, his loving son Rusty (fiancee Louise and son Bernard). He is survived by his mother, Janina Tkacz, his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, their children and grandchildren. All who knew Rick, the teacher and friend, and wish to celebrate his life with us in the presence of his ashes, can do so on Friday, September 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Brendan's Church, 3542 Rosemount Blvd. followed by a memorial mass and reception. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
