Russell Sprague Russell J. Sprague 92, of Moncton, with his family at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, November 20, 2007. Born in Coates Mills, he was the son of the late Earl and Mabelle (Goodfellow) Sprague. Russell was a retired motel proprietor, adherent of The Moncton Wesleyan Church and in past years, he was a very faithful church attendant and was active within church activities. He enjoyed nice cars, winter in Florida (Daytona Beach), working in his flower garden, painting pictures, listening to music, enjoying nature and spending time with his friends and family. His daughters have fond memories of their long drives and many happy hours spent with their father. Russell will be sadly missed by his wife of 71 years, Eladee (McConnell) Sprague; daughters, Elva Kennie (Robert), Moncton, Eva Haddix (Jim), Creamery, PA; grandson, Brent, Philadelphia; granddaughters, Daniela and Erika, Moncton; several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Jean; brothers, Lawrence, Arnold, Ivan, Jack and Herb. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Friday, 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, November 24, 2007, 1:30 pm, Dr. Laurel Buckingham officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
