Phine E. ZANTVOORT

MEYER, Phine E - It is with great sorrow that the family Meyer announces the passing of Phine E Meyer on Nov. 1 2007. Husband Ed Meyer (Calgary), daughters Chris Meyer (Calgary), Eleanor (Meyer) Spooner (BC) predeceased, sons Michael Meyer (Peterborough, Ont.) and Tom Meyer (Eva) (Medicine Hat), and grandchildren Summer, James and Olivia Meyer, brothers Fred (Jessie) Zantvoort (BC), Pim (Honey) Zantvoort (Holland) predeceased. A private memorial was held Nov 4th at the residence of Ed Meyer where good memories were shared about Phine. Messages/special words were written on balloons which were then symbolically released in the back yard. Phine was a grounded lady with class and ethical principle, avid reader and talker, lover of animals (especially dogs), fan of classical art, sympathetic and supportive of many causes, talented seamstress, florist and a variety of other crafts. She was selflessly dedicated to her children and to her husband and his endeavours to improve humanity. The Serenity Prayer was a constant with her 'God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things that I can, Wisdom to know the difference'. She will truly be missed by all that knew her. 10920697
