JAMES - In Loving Memory of Roy who passed away December 10, 2006. My Garden Gate There''s a gate at the foot of my garden, For all who want to come To visit me in friendship, And neighbour in the sun. No latch will stay your progress, No gathering of rust, To keep the world from entering My gate, well oiled by trust. The hinges will not clamour, No grating noises make. A gentle touch you''ll need To open wide my gate. My garden is a haven From envy, lust, and hate. A place to rest in comfort, Protected by my gate. There is no room for anger, No place for human fears. It is a place for loving Of all who enter here. My gate contains no iron, No wood to rot and fall. No bolts or nails to rust, With nothing left at all. My gate is made of values. Held firmly as by rope, It''s planks made strong and lasting. Of friendship, trust and hope. Ever missed by his loving wife Marjorie, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 0
