GARRETT, Albert J. - (Veteran WWII, R.C.A.F., former member of R.C.L. #147, Barrie and R.C.L. Rexdale, Former Quality Control Manager 1SD C.F.B. Downsview) Passed away at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Monday, December 3rd, 2007. Albert Garrett of Barrie and formerly of Downsview in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Ethel Garrett. Loving father of Robert Garrett (Jacki) of Barrie, Norman Garrett (Jane) of Columbus, Ohio, and Marilyn Landriault of Erin. Devoted grandfather of Paige, Christopher, Leah, Beth, Patrick and Michael. Survived by sister Jean McIssac of Toronto. Predeceased by parents Alfred and Sarah Jane Garrett, brothers William, Lorne, Robert and Ronald Garrett and sister Helen Hay. Albert will be greatly missed and always remembered as a caring, humble and generous man, and avid sports fan and having a fondness for his canine friends. Albert's friends would like to thank Dr. Lewis-Watts for his compassion and care. A Service in Albert's memory will be held at a later date in Petrolia, Ontario. Spring interment of cremated remains will take place at Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia. Memorial donations to the SPCA Barrie Branch would be greatly appreciated.
