Kenneth James GORMAN

GORMAN, Kenneth James Peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at the age of 56 years. Beloved husband of Anne Gorman (Pichard) and devoted father of Michelle, Marie, and Sean. Much loved brother of Les (Diane Boisvert), Cheryl (Doug Collins), and Bob (Claire Aubry). Cherished son-in-law to Alfred Pichard and Charlotte Pichard. Predeceased by his father Ernest Gorman and mother Viola Gorman (Corcoran). Survived by his step-mother Betty Gorman (Cameron). Treasured brother-in-law to Mary Lou King (Bill King), Alfred Pichard (Cathy Klesovitch), Helen Pichard, and Diane Gorman (Craig Lee). Loving uncle of Colleen (Jorge Salinas), Stacey, Megan, Caitlin, Stephanie, Jessica, and great-uncle of Tara. Born in Quebec City on March 11, 1951, Ken attended St. Vincent's Elementary School in Ste. Foy. In Ottawa, Ken attended St. Joseph's High School. After practicing law for a brief period, Ken pursued a fulfilling teaching career. A dedicated teacher, Ken retired in June 2007 after 28 years of teaching. He spent his last 26 years of teaching at Immaculata High School. Ken played an active role as leader and musician for Children's Liturgy at Divine Infant Parish for several years. An avid hockey fan, Ken coached minor hockey in his early years and later fulfilled many roles for his son's hockey teams. Ken was a passionate singer, songwriter, musician, writer, and playwright. Those who have known him give thanks for all the ways in which he touched their lives. Friends may call at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St. Joseph Blvd. on Monday, December 3, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Divine Infant Church for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10 a.m. In memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of Canada.
