EVANS, Kay A. Peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2007 in her 90th year. Loving wife for 67 years of Donald H. Evans. Loving mother of Joan (Bob Hills), Donna (Victor Wickstrom) and Bruce (Susan). Proud grandmother of Jana, Angie (Dave), Melanie (Brent), Lana (Drew), Taylor, Riley, Austin, the late Stephen and great-grandmother of Mackenzie, Joel, Lane, Riley, Tristan and Svea. Predeceased by her brothers Ronnie, David, A. E. Lon Campbell and sisters Christina and Margaret. Survived by her sister Eleanor (Roy McLeod) and many nieces and nephews. Kay was a Charter Member of the Kiwanianne Club of Ottawa and Holder of a 35 year Legion of Honour Award. She was also a Charter Member of The Grace Hospital Nurses Alumini and a volunteer for 20 years with the West End Achievers at Woodroffe United Church (working with the physically challeged). Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Ave., at Richmond Road on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 1:30 p.m. until time of the Service in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diabetes Assiciation, Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
