Ethel STERNAT

Ethel Leochko (née Sternat) March 27, 1926 - March 20, 2004 Peacefully, in her sleep, Ethel passed away on March 20, 2004 at the age of 77 years. Ethel was predeceased by her son, Jim in 2002. Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband of 58 years, Peter; children Doreen MacLean (Jerry), and Janette Stephenson (Larry); grandchildren Melanie MacLean-Fehr (Brian), Matthew and Jared Stephenson; great-grandchildren Adam and Shane Fehr; sister-in-law Betty Sternat; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. We are visitors on this planet. We are here for ninety or 100 years, at the very most. During that period we must try to do something good, something useful with our lives. If you contribute to other people's happiness, you will find the true goal the true meaning of life. "Thank you Mom" Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart & Stroke Foundation, #200 - 6 Donald Street, R3L 0K6, or to a charity of one's choice.
