NIXON, Frank. Passed away at Mount Sinai Hospital on July 23, 2004 at the age of eighty. Born September 29, 1923 in New York City, the son of William and Mary Nixon. Predeceased by his long time and loving partner, Kathleen Roche Harper. Father of Frank Jr. of Montreal, grandfather of Christopher of Knowlton, Quebec, brother of Edith (Dennis Brown) of Pugwash, Nova Scotia, Vivian of Montreal and William (Barbara) of LaSalle. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mr. Nixon worked for over twenty-five years with Montreal Locomotive Works and Bombardier Inc., before retiring as General Foreman in 1978. He served with the Canadian Army in WWII between 1939 and 1945. He landed on D-Day at Juno Beach, Normandy as Corporal with the 3rd Canadian Division. Resting at Feron's Funeral Homes, 1010 Shevchenko Blvd, LaSalle. Complete funeral service to be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Sunday, July 25 at 4 p.m. Cremation to follow. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Montreal Chest Institute Foundation would be appreciated. The Montreal Gazette
