HURL, JOHN ROY (JACK) (former Pres. of Hurl's Dairy; Frost, Reid & Hurl Real Estate Brokers; avid curler and long-time member of the Orillia Curling Club; Orillia Y's Men's Club (1969-89); Lion's Club Member (1947-63); Hawk Ridge Golf Club (1991 - 2007); board member of St. Paul's United Church and former councillor of Orillia Twsp. (1985-88)) - Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 7, 2008 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Wonderful husband of Norma (nee: Lillicrap). Loving father of Brian (Trish) of Vancouver, Elizabeth (Rob) Summerfield of Orillia, Shannon (Eric Smith) of Richmond Hill and Mary Hurl of Orillia. Beloved Papa of Lauren, Hilary, Stephanie, Kate and Trevor. Beloved brother of the late Ella Johnson. Visitation at the Mundell Funeral Home on Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held at St. Paul's United Church on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment: St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, Orillia.
