THORPE, Gladys - At Henley House on Saturday, January 12, 2008 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Samuel (1978). Dearly loved mother of George and Karen, Anne and Harold Dyck and Philip and Robin. Cherished grandmother of Nathan, Jeremy, Jonathon, Sarah, Geoffrey, Lucas and Caleb and great-grandmother of Jayden, Trent, Emily, and Chad. She is survived by her sisters Evelyn Corman (George) and Miriam Friesen and brothers Melvin (Madeline) and Harvey (Lise) Friesen. Mrs. Thorpe is at the NIAGARA ST. CHAPEL of BUTLER FUNERAL HOME, 424 Niagara St. (south of Scott) where the family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at Calvary Church, 89 Scott St., St. Catharines on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill.
