LESLIE - Violet Irene. With thanksgiving to God for the life of our mother, we announce with sadness her peaceful passing at Crescent Park Lodge in Fort Erie , Ontario on Sunday January 13, 2008 in her 84th year. Loving mother of Wayne (Ann) of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Barbara Adams (Richard) of Wainfleet, Charles of Wainfleet, Bill (Debbie) of Hamilton, Brian (Pat) of Kenmore, N.Y., Brenda McPherson (Mark) of Port Colborne, Donna Bell (Gord) of Fort Erie, Marlene Woelfle (Trent) of Port Colborne, Bonnie Leslie (Bill) of Port Colborne, Keith (Tracey) of Edmonton, Alberta, Ann Russell (Mike) of Welland, loving mother-in-law of Pat Jacobi (Bruce) of Welland, dear sister of Muriel Moore, Margaret Jones, Ben Girling and Sid Girling, niece of Louise Girling, sister-in-law of Thelma Koerner, Kathleen Cleave and Mary Emery. Lovingly remembered by 26 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford Leslie and her son David Leslie. Born in Dunnville, she has lived in the Wainfleet area most of her life. Violet was an adherent of Morgan's Point United Church. She loved and enjoyed most importantly, spending time with her family. Violet enjoyed playing cards and was a die hard Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Mrs. Leslie's family will receive visitors at the PORT COLBORNE CHAPEL of the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOMES 135 Clarence St. on Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday January 17, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Geeva Sam officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan's Point Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
