Ila Noreen MCCREARY

MACHIN, Ila Noreen (nee McCreary) Peacefully on Friday December 21, 2007 at the Rosebridge Manor Nursing Home in Easton's Corners, Ila went to be with the Lord in her 92nd year. Ila was the beloved wife of the late Eric Machin with whom she celebrated 66 years. She was predeceased by an infant son Gerald, her sister Vivian and her brother Grant. As well, she is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Ila was born and raised in Smiths Falls and, with the exception of Eric and Ila's 12 year stint in Montreal, she spent most of her married adult years in Smiths Falls. Ila may be remembered by some of her former hairdressing clientele in her early years when a good joke or two was always included in the price. As per Ila's wishes no visitation will be held. A memorial service will be held at the Lannin Funeral Home Chapel, Smiths Falls on Saturday January 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Thanks to the staff at Rosebridge Manor for their compassion and wonderful care over the past few years. In memory of Ila, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
