Lois RANTA

RANTA, Lois 2008-01-16 Mrs. Lois Ranta age 81 years, a resident of Thunder Bay passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, January 15, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospice Unit. Born in Port Arthur, Lois was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League of Corpus Christi Church. Lois was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Eric, sister Georgene Grant and granddaughter Kaitlyn. Lois will be lovingly remembered by her children: Kathy (Brian) Whitfield, James (Laura), Susan Holm (Terry Clinton), grandchildren: James, Kelli, Alissa, Melissa, Michelle, Derek, and Crystal. She will also be missed by her special friends, cats Cody and Carly. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2008 when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 3:00 pm in Corpus Christi R.C. Church, celebrated by Rev. Alan Albao. Interment at a later date. Visitation for friends will be held one hour prior to service time. Should friends desire, donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
