CHONKA, Carol Rose (Fritshaw) - Embraced by her loving family, Carol passed away in her 67th year on January 24, 2008 at her home in Brantford. Loving wife of 38 years to Alex. Beloved mother of Daryl (Rani) and Marnie. Forever loved by her sister Elaine Crawford (Glenn), brother- in-law Paul Gordon (Judy), nieces and nephews Bryan, Bradley, Lauren, Steven (Melanie), Sherri (Scott), Shawn (Kelly) and great-nieces Alanna and Erika. Predeceased by parents Hazel and Donald Fritshaw and beloved sister Dianne Gordon. Carol was a former employee of Eatons and the Hamilton and Grand Erie Boards of Education. Most recently she cared for many children in her Wee Watch home day care. The family expresses thanks to Fairview United Church and the University Women's Club for their support. Friends will be received at MCCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME 495 Park Rd.N., Brantford on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial at Oakhill Cemetery.
