GALLOP, DOUGLAS HENRY The passing of Douglas Henry Gallop of Keswick Ridge, NB, husband of Suzanne (Saunders) Gallop, occurred on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at the Halifax Infirmary. Born on August 12, 1948 in Perth Andover, NB, he was the son of Gerald Gallop and the late Jean (Zwicker) Gallop. Douglas lived for his grandchildren and enjoyed his family and friends at his cottage (The Lake House). As his grandchildren entered elementary school, he became actively involved in the Keswick Valley Memorial School Breakfast Program, Burtt's Corner by volunteering and securing long term funding to ensure, a healthy start to each child's day. In addition to his father and wife, Suzanne, Douglas is survived by his son, Christopher Gallop (Wendy) of Keswick Ridge, NB; grandchildren, Emma, Adam and Michael; sisters, Barbara Christie (Randy) and Joyce Schriver (Fred) both of Woodstock, NB; brother, Alison Gallop (Esther) of Saint John, NB; special aunt, Barbara Fenwick of Perth Andover, NB and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Zealand, NB on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 3 pm with Archdeacon John Sharpe officiating. Interment will take place in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Keswick Valley Memorial School Breakfast Program, Burtt's Corner would be appreciated by the family.
