DUNCAN, George James - It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of George at the age of 68 on Friday, January 25, 2008 in Halifax. Loving father of Lynn (Martin Bergeron) of Montreal and Ann Marie (Mark Atlow) of Virginia, USA. Dear Grandpa of Nicolas, David, James, Aanika, Ryan and Jordan. Great- Grandpa of Juel. Dear brother of Shirley (Don) Lemoire, Caroline (Paul) Patton, Gale MacFarland of Peterborough and Ed (Eileen) Duncan of Lindsay. Predeceased by parents Edward and Ethel (McFarland) and brother Michael. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and by his life long friends John and Connie Parry. George was born and raised in Peterborough. He spent his working life in Montreal and his retirement years in Digby, Nova Scotia. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Braidwood Bible Chapel, 306 Braidwood Ave., Peterborough, Ontario. Interment will be at Little Lake Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Wall of Honour would be appreciated by the family. Wall of Honour - City of Peterborough c/o D.
