DAOUST, Clovis - 94 years, passed away January 8th. He is sorrily missed by his wife Loretta, who he has cared for with love and kindness for the past 10 years, his daughter Janet Bradley (husband Bob Bradley deceased), grand-daughters Kari Bradley and Lara Bradley (husband Peter Zwarich), and great-grandsons Sebastian and Quinn Zwarich. The son of Anne and Auguste Daoust, all of Clovis' siblings have passed before him: George, Emile, Adrienne and Beatrice, who was like a mother to him when his own died at an early age. Clovis spent his childhood split between his father's logging camps and boarding at Sacred Heart College. While he worked at many jobs - his last as a purchaser with Falconbridge for 30 years - his great love was working in the bush. In the late 1950s, at a time when it was unusual to do so, Clovis decided to return to university where he made many good friends and studied industrial relations and economics. Clovis and Loretta spent many happy years together at their camp on the French River. This past summer they celebrated their 70th anniversary. He was a good, kind man who never judged others and always offered encouragement. A memorial mass will be held at the St. Joseph's Villa Chapel on Thursday, January 10, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Joseph's Villa Foundation would be appreciated.
