Theresa Catherine SHAW

BEAUCHAMP, Theresa Catherine - Theresa Beauchamp 82, Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at St. Luke's South Medical Center. Theresa was born January 28, 1926 in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. She moved to the Kansas City area in 1973 and later completed a Bachelors Degree from Avila College in Kansas City, MO. Theresa loved to paint and was a gifted artist, specializing in water colors and ceramics. She was an active volunteer at St. Joseph's Medical Center. Her deep compassion, kindness and generosity for others, was present in all aspects of her life. She was devoted to her family and had a strong Catholic faith Theresa was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bridget Hayes and James Shaw and siblings Margaret Zettler, Francis Quibel, Sarah Bouchard, Mary Matheson, Hazel McDonald, Sam Shaw, and Archie Shaw of Canada. She leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Alphe J. Beauchamp; three daughters, Captain Joy McMahon, U S Army, stationed at Fort Irwin, CA, Lise D. Beauchamp-Bowes, Kansas City, MO, Patricia M. Segale, Shawnee, KS; and granddaughters Shannon T. McMahon and Fiona C. Segale, whom she so cherished. Services to celebrate Theresa's life will be held on Monday, February 18, 2008 at Saint Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will begin with the rosary at 9:45 am, the Funeral Mass at 11 am and a reception to follow the Mass. Theresa was deeply loved and will be forever greatly missed.
