SOROS, Louis - It is with deep regret we announce the peaceful passing of Louis Joseph Soros, Master Warrant Officer (Ret.) Left to mourn are his beloved wife and best friend Johanna; sister Betty Rowen; brother Stephen (Darlene) Soros; sister-in-law Nina Soros; and his cousin Tilor (Clara) Soros. Uncle Louie was a treasured friend to eleven nephews and nieces. He was also a much loved great uncle and great-great uncle. He will be sadly missed by many extended family members in Germany. Louis was predeceased by his brothers James, Julius and Leslie Soros. Louis served his country with pride for 35 years stationed in many different countries and therefore will be remembered and thought of fondly worldwide. A man well loved, a life well lived. Friends and family will be received at the “THORPE BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL“, 96 West Street, on Friday February 8th, 2008 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service in our chapel at 2:00 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alzheimer Society of Brant or to the Versa Care Long Term Care Centre would be appreciated by the family.
