Douglas Haig MUNROE

Douglas Haig Munroe March 07, 1919 - May 16, 2004 MUNROE, Douglas Haig - 85, passed away May 16, 2004, in Northwood Centre, Halifax. He was a son of the late Cranswick and Lola (Hawes) Munroe (Cansoe). He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Prior to his retirement he was employed for 35 years with Keith/Olands Brewery. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Camilla (Harvey); sons, Douglas (Shirley), Kenneth (Nicky), both of Ottawa, Ont.; Harold (Linda), Halifax; daughters, Doreen (Jim), Cathy, both of Halifax; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two grandsons. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 22 at 2 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. There will be no visitation and family flowers only. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
